Programs & Partnerships
The Bishop G.E. Patterson Ministry currently focuses its programs and services on groups that are often the most vulnerable and overlooked in our communities.
We serve senior citizens and the elderly in our local community in Memphis, TN. We also support caregivers across the region who are providing primary support and care to family members and other loved ones, serving on a daily basis in ways the healthcare system cannot. We believe it is our calling in Christ to help care for each other, and to support those who are caring for others.

Service and Support to Senior Citizens & the Elderly:
We work with partners to meet basic needs, distributing provisions to senior citizens including
- Toiletries
- Food
- Health and wellness supplies
We also nurture the spirit, reaching out with greeting cards and gifts around holidays, and letting people know they are loved and supported.
Louise D. Patterson Caregiver Initiative
Scripture reminds us, “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.” (Exodus 20:12).
Bishop Gilbert Earl Patterson and Lady Louise D. Patterson lived this commandment with grace and devotion, lovingly caring for their parents and extending compassion to others as family. They deeply understood the sacred calling of family caregivers, and held great respect for those who quietly serve with love, patience, and faith. Our ministry is carrying out an initiative born from that legacy of love and from a heartfelt desire to honor caregivers who embody the spirit of service that Bishop and Lady Patterson so beautifully modeled.

“Lord, bless every caregiver with strength, patience, and peace. May their service reflect your love, and may they feel seen, honored, and supported. Amen.”
